Warrior’s Desire

Warrior’s Desire

If I could be stronger, I would fight harder
Nothing would take their peace away
If I could see through the mist I would seal your bliss
And you wouldn’t worry about endless things

We are warriors dug from the sand with bare hands
And mine was one of dry hopes and lies
For you I wish to be a fighter
To douse the flame eating your mind

I haven’t the skill or the know how
I haven’t the back bone or silver sword
I haven’t the shield or deadened heart
But for you I wish I would.
